Cable Structure
GYTA optical cable adopts stranded loose tube construction. Optical fibers are placed in PBT loose tubes filled with water-blocking gel. The loose tubes are stranded around a central strength member and filled with cable compound. An aluminum tape armor layer is applied under the PE outer sheath for improved moisture resistance and mechanical protection.
Structural Features: •Central strength member (steel wire or FRP) •Multiple high-modulus PBT loose tubes filled with water-blocking gel •Optical fibers are color-coded and stranded around the central member •Corrugated aluminum tape (APL) armor providing moisture barrier and crush protection •Black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath with excellent UV resistance Compared with steel tape armored GYTS, GYTA is lighter in weight and offers better moisture resistance, making it particularly suitable for humid environments and long-distance duct installations. | ![]() |
