Double Jacket Armored Direct Burial Fiber Optic Cable
GYTY53 Fiber Optic Cable is a stranded loose tube outdoor optical cable designed for direct burial and harsh outdoor communication environments. The cable adopts a jelly-filled loose tube structure, central strength member, corrugated steel tape armor and double PE sheath, providing excellent moisture resistance, tensile strength and crush protection for long-term underground deployment.
With its robust double-sheath armored structure, GYTY53 is widely used in direct buried communication systems, duct networks, telecom backbone transmission and access fiber networks requiring high mechanical reliability.
Structural Features:
Optical fibers are housed in high-modulus PBT loose tubes filled with water-blocking gel
Loose tubes and fillers are stranded around a central strength member (steel wire or FRP)
PE inner sheath for additional protection
Corrugated copolymer-coated steel tape armor for high crush resistance and rodent protection
Black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath for UV and environmental resistance
The double sheath + steel tape armor design significantly enhances the cable’s ability to withstand
external mechanical stress, making GYTY53 particularly suitable for direct buried applications.
