Introduction

OM5 MTP Patchcord is a fiber patch cord that uses OM5 wideband multimode fiber (WBMMF) and MTP®/MPO high-density connectors. Its fiber core diameter is 50/125μm, the sheath color is lime green, supports 840~953nm multi-wavelength transmission, and is designed for short wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) technology. Compared with OM3/OM4, OM5 fiber has significantly improved bandwidth, transmission distance and fiber utilization, and is particularly suitable for high-speed, high-density data centers and 5G network environments.

Function

OM5 MTP Patchcord is mainly used in the following scenarios:

1. High-speed data transmission: supports 40G/100G/400G/800G Ethernet, and reduces the number of optical fibers through SWDM technology (such as 40G network only needs 2 cores of optical fiber).
